The commonwealth of Puerto Rico is located in the Caribbean and it consists of a main island and several other smaller islands. The country falls on a tropical climatic zone which means that you can expect moderate temperatures throughout the year with an average for the whole country of 80 Fahrenheit (26.7 Celsius). There are two seasons which you can find in Puerto Rico. Those are the dry and the rainy seasons. Higher elevations do see a lower average yearly temperature which can drop to 70 Fahrenheit (21.1 Celsius). The difference in temperature during the summer as compared to the winter is only 6 degrees Fahrenheit (3.3 Celsius). That can be attributed to the warmer waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Puerto Rico also experiences hurricane season.
